On August 6, under the supervision of Wuhan Xingang Customs, a batch of "automobile complete sets of parts" was dispatched from Xianglushan Station on the China-Europe Railway Express dedicated line, marking that Xianglushan Station officially became the second largest departure station for China-Europe Railway Express in Hubei Province after Wujiashan Station, and Wuhan Yangluo Port added another "golden channel" for rail-water transport.
The batch of goods was loaded in 51 40-foot containers with a value of RMB 17 million and will leave the country via the Alashankou railway port. "Wuhan's water transport port is about 60 kilometers away from Wujiashan Station. In the past, if goods at the water transport port wanted to be imported and exported by China-Europe Railway Express, they could only be transported to Wujiashan Station by short road barge, which cost about RMB 1,000 per box. Now the China-Europe Railway Express is shipped directly from Xianglushan Station, which can not only save about 2 days in time, but also save about 15% of the overall logistics cost. This is a real way to reduce costs and increase efficiency for enterprises." Zhang Peng, deputy general manager of Hubei Railway Group International Transport Co., Ltd. said.
In order to ensure the smooth launch of the China-Europe (Central Asia) Railway Express at Yangluo Port, Wuhan Customs actively contacted local governments, port operators and railway-related units to provide policy guidance to enterprises and solve their difficult problems in a timely manner; provide all-round guidance in terms of site layout, hardware configuration, checkpoint management, data declaration, etc., formulate a train supervision plan based on actual conditions, and communicate and coordinate with the customs at the exit point in advance to ensure seamless connection between all links and ensure that the trains are shipped on time.
Wuhan Customs will continue to optimize the level of train supervision services, improve the efficiency of rail-water transport conversion and connection, make every effort to ensure the regular shipment of China-Europe (Central Asia) Railway Express at Wuhan Port, expand and strengthen the brand routes and scale of rail-water transport, and contribute customs strength to the high-quality development of Wuhan's open economy.
