Wuhan, July 1 (Xinhua) -- A cross-border e-commerce export train carrying goods valued at approximately USD 3.5 million departed from the Wuhan terminal of China Railway Intermodal on July 1. The train will exit China via Alashankou and proceed to Małaszewicze, Poland—a key logistics hub in Central and Eastern Europe—with an estimated total transit time of 18 days. The train carries multi-category goods sourced from Hubei Province and neighboring regions, including industrial products, construction materials, and electronic devices. Malaszewicze is located in eastern Poland and undertakes more than 90% of the customs clearance and distribution tasks for transportation routes to Central Europe. Through this hub, goods can be distributed across Europe—including Western, Northern, and Southern regions—within 48 hours.
This cross-border e-commerce special train was jointly organized and dispatched by Hubei Port Group, Hubei United Investment Group, and China Railway Wuhan Bureau Group Co., Ltd. Cross-border e-commerce shipments are characterized by small batch sizes, high frequency, and stringent timeliness requirements. The China-Europe Railway Express (Wuhan) precisely meets the transportation needs of cross-border e-commerce goods, addressing the logistics challenges faced by e-commerce companies in global expansion. Previously, the China-Europe Railway Express (Wuhan) responded to market demand by facilitating the export of cross-border e-commerce goods to Europe through the "9710" (Cross-border E-commerce B2B Direct Export) and "9810" (Cross-border E-commerce Export Overseas Warehouse) customs declaration models, significantly improving clearance efficiency and reducing operational costs for businesses.
Statistics show that in the first half of 2025, the China-Europe Railway Express (Wuhan) operated 545 trips, establishing a more convenient and efficient international logistics corridor for import and export enterprises in Hubei. Moving forward, efforts will focus on developing specialized and premium train services to facilitate the global distribution of more cross-border e-commerce goods.
