The 2025 China Foreign Trade Semi-annual Report was released on July 14.

According to customs statistics, in the first half of this year, China's total import and export value of goods trade was RMB 21.79 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 2.9%, 0.4 percentage points faster than the previous 5 months.

The exports were RMB 13 trillion, and exceeded RMB 13 trillion for the first time in the same period in history, achieving a relatively fast growth of 7.2% year-on-year; imports were RMB 8.79 trillion, down 2.7% year-on-year, and the decline was narrowed by 1.1 percentage points compared with the previous 5 months.

Entering June, China's imports and exports as a whole, exports, and imports all achieved year-on-year growth, and the growth rate is recovering.

The reporter learned from the GACC that since the beginning of this year, facing the complex and severe international situation, China's foreign trade has maintained strong resilience, achieving total growth, quality improvement, and controllable variables.
