[Europe Dedicated Air Cargo Service] Launch of Zhengzhou-Budapest Direct Two-Way Cargo Service Launched
ZHENGZHOU, Sept. 5 (China News Service) -- Direct two-way air cargo services have been launched between Zhengzhou and Budapest, marking a new milestone in the “dual hub” cooperation between the two cities.
In the early hours of September 5, a cargo aircraft operated by Hungarian Airlines arrived at Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport in Henan Province from Budapest. After a brief stop, it departed, fully loaded with 60 tons of cargo, on its return journey.
The direct cargo service between Zhengzhou and Budapest is jointly operated by Hungarian Airlines and Henan-based China Central Longhao Airlines (Air Central), initially establishing an efficient logistics corridor connecting Central China and the Central and Eastern European region.
In May 2023, Air Central pioneered the launch of the Zhengzhou–Budapest cargo route, operating four weekly flights with Boeing 747 freighters. To date, it has transported a cumulative total of 23,500 tons of cargo, ranging from cross-border e-commerce products to mechanical and automotive parts.
The newly launched route by Hungarian Airlines is schedule for five weekly flights, mainly carrying cross-border e-commerce goods using A330-200F freighters. Upon arrival, the first flight's 60 tons of cargo will be rapidly distributed across Central and Eastern Europe. The company also plans to gradually transition to larger aircraft, such as the B777, to further boost its carrying capacity.
