In the first eight months of this year, our exports to European countries exceeded 660 million yuan, marking a 23.0% year-on-year increase.”
For over 30 years, the company has been dedicated to the R&D and sales of European-style sockets, with exports to Europe now accounting for 70% of its total export volume. In recent years, it has invested an average of over 20 million yuan annually into product R&D, launching more than 100 new models each year. Ningbo Boyang Lighting Co., Ltd. invests 5 million yuan annually in new product development, reporting an export value of 140 million yuan in the first eight months, up 70.1% year-on-year. According to statistics from Cixi Customs, from January to August, power connector exports from the city totaled 3.0 billion yuan, an increase of 12.1% year-on-year. Exports to the EU were 1.95 billion yuan of this total, representing 65.0% and up 17.3% over the previous year.
In a move aimed at fostering the high-quality development of the power connector export industry, Cixi Customs, under Ningbo Customs, conducted quality and safety risk monitoring on 78 batches of products from 31 power connector export manufacturers within its jurisdiction from April to May this year. The customs office investigated and analyzed the quality management status of these enterprises, providing “one-on-one” on-site services to those with potential product quality risks. During their visits, Cixi Customs analyzed the reasons for non-compliance and proposing corrective measures. “By proactively monitoring our export products for risks, Cixi Customs helped us identify potential quality hazards and provided technical guidance, thereby safeguarding our high-quality development,” a company quality director told the reporter.
