Joint Announcement by Six Departments on Designating 4-Piperidone and 1-tert-Butoxycarbonyl-4-Piperidone as Precursor Chemicals for Regulation

To ensure the stringent management of precursor chemicals and prevent their diversion for illicit drug production, with the approval of the State Council, the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Commerce, National Health Commission, Ministry of Emergency Management, General Administration of Customs, and National Medical Products Administration jointly promulgated an announcement on June 20, 2025. The announcement designates 4-piperidone and 1-tert-butoxycarbonyl-4-piperidone to be controlled under the "Classification and Variety Catalog of Precursor Chemicals" attached to the "Regulations on the Administration of Precursor Chemicals". This announcement shall come into effect on July 20, 2025.
