China-Europe Railway Express X8151, which left from Xi'an International Port Station on March 2 for Duisburg, Germany, marked the 1000th China-Europe Railway Express (Xi'an) train of 2026, reaching this milestone 19 days earlier than in 2025, with an operating volume increase of over 30 percent.

"Since the beginning of this year, automobile exports have become a core growth driver for rail transportation," said Zhang Qitao, deputy general manager of Xi'an Free Trade Port Construction and Operation Co. "The volume of automobile goods transported via China Railway Express by our company alone has increased significantly. The transportation advantages of the Silk Road corridor are becoming increasingly prominent."
High-value-added products, including automotive products, photovoltaic modules, and high-end mechanical equipment, have all been transported abroad via the China-Europe Railway Express.
"Since November 2025, our station has achieved stable weekly operations on routes from Xi'an to Duisburg, Germany; Prague, Czech Republic; and Budapest, Hungary," said Shi Zhiyuan, a representative of Xi'an International Port Station. "This has made us the station with the largest number and highest density of full-timetable trains in China."
"These three routes complement each other and improve transportation efficiency by about 30 percent compared with ordinary trains, providing reliable logistics services for enterprises and becoming the preferred channel for foreign trade enterprises to expand into overseas markets," Shi added.
The data connectivity between customs and railway has further improved customs clearance efficiency. At Xi'an International Port Station, thousands of container trucks shuttle through the park every day. Information verification and data upload for an entire train of containers can be completed in just 10 minutes, and loading a single train takes less than 2 hours.
More than 15 institutions in the station, over 100 transport drivers, and more than 1,300 commuter vehicles have been incorporated into the system for precise management. The station's operational efficiency has achieved a qualitative leap, providing a solid guarantee for efficient operation.
Xi'an will continue to promote the development of China-Europe Railway Express, deepen multi-party cooperation, expand the logistics network, and optimize service support, injecting stronger impetus into inland reform and opening-up.
