Since the beginning of 2026, the CEEC Products Permanent Pavilion has been organizing a diverse range of promotional initiatives under the theme "Shared Market, Export Opportunities in China". These efforts are broadening the availability of high‑quality products from Central and Eastern Europe Countries (CEECs) in the domestic market, contributing to the new development paradigm of “dual circulation”, where domestic and international markets reinforce each other, and fostering a dedicated supply-chain platform for CEEC specialties.

Riding on this momentum, REPUBLIKA sunflower oil from Romania, making its debut in the Chinese market, has won consumer favor with its premium quality. It has not only achieved strong sales but also become a compelling illustration of enhanced food trade and cultural exchange between the two countries, highlighting the platform’s pivotal role in fostering shared consultation, mutual benefit, and win-win cooperation.

Through concerted government-business efforts, the inaugural shipment of REPUBLIKA sunflower oil, imported in February 2025, saw near-total sell-through within just three months via the CEEC Products Permanent Pavilion. Buoyed by this strong demand, a second container arrived in Ningbo in November, quickly becoming a top-selling hit during the 2025 Charming CEEC Shopping Festival, a promotional campaign driven by exclusive consumption vouchers for CEEC products. Around the same time, REPUBLIKA made its debut at the China International Import Expo (CIIE), where its parent company secured preliminary agreements with multiple buyers.

This successful market entry is built upon Romania’s inherent strengths as the world’s eighth-largest sunflower seed producer, which boasts a robust production base and competitive quality advantages in the sunflower oil sector. The country’s exports have already gained a foothold in multiple EU countries, including Bulgaria, Italy, and Spain, supported by a mature international supply chain system.

IV TUDOR SRL, a benchmark Romanian producer of high-quality vegetable oils and owner of the REPUBLIKA brand, specializes in integrated operations that span cold pressing, dual filtration, bottling, and full-chain distribution. Its products enjoy a strong reputation in both domestic and EU markets. Drawn by the vast consumer potential and growing demand for health-oriented products in China, IV TUDOR SRL made the strategic decision to enter this new market.

Serving as a vital bridge linking the Chinese consumers with Central and Eastern European goods, the CEEC Products Permanent Pavilion leverages its integrated ecosystem to swiftly establish a market foothold for premium brands like REPUBLIKA. This not only brings authentic CEEC flavors and high-quality products to Chinese consumers but also injects fresh momentum into deepening bilateral economic, trade, and cultural ties.
