China Inspection and Quarantine Times – September in Ningbo retains an intense summer heat. However, despite the weather, the export season for Christmas products has quietly commenced. At Ningbo Jinhao Import and Export Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Jinhao Company”), sample rooms are fully stocked with an array of Christmas products. Sales staff guide foreign customers through display shelves, occasionally recording their order numbers and specific personalized requirements noted. Company Manager He Shunv shared, “Besides traditional Christmas items, we’ve developed Christmas-themed pet clothing and decorations, leveraging the ‘pet economy’ trend. Customers highly favor these innovations, resulting in a 5% increase in orders compared to the same period last year.”
Since the beginning of this year, in the face of a complex international situation, many export enterprises have encountered difficulties such as obstacles to overseas market entry and unstable order volumes. "Relying on the 'Qinqing Direct Train·Enterprise Needs Customs Response' mechanism to assist enterprise development, we have established the 'Yong Power' service brand, carried out in-depth research on the needs of enterprises within our jurisdiction, and solved practical problems with a 'one enterprise, one policy' approach. Considering the large trade volume and numerous export target countries of Jinhao Company, we provided on-site explanations of Rules of Origin and offered guiding services such as tariff preferential treatment comparisons under different Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). Additionally, by adopting trade facilitation measures such as intelligent review and self-service printing, we enhanced the efficiency and automation level of origin-related business processing, helping enterprises fully capitalize on policy benefits," introduced a relevant official from Yongjiang Customs under Ningbo Customs. In the first seven months of this year, the number of certificates of origin issued to Jinhao Company exceeded 1,600.
To ensure the smooth export of Christmas products within its jurisdiction, Yongjiang Customs further optimized its services to provide enterprises with comprehensive support. A relevant official from Yongjiang Customs introduced: "Yongjiang Customs has established the 'Enterprise Home', providing on-site certificate printing services for small and micro foreign trade enterprises that lack color printing equipment. We have also set up a green channel to ensure the rapid inspection and release, as well as the timely shipment of Christmas products; established a Customs-Enterprise liaison group for certificate of origin issuance, enabling enterprises to receive real-time online responses to their inquiries, ensuring fast and smooth issuance of certificates and guaranteeing products' unobstructed export."
According to statistics, in the first seven months of this year, Ningbo's export value of Christmas products reached CNY 1.41 billion, a year-on-year increase of 29.2%, of which the export value in July alone was CNY 690 million, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 12%. (Wu Jingjing)
