The Measures are formulated in accordance with the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine and its regulations for implementation, the Law of the People's Republic of China on Import and Export Commodity Inspection and its regulations for implementation and other laws and regulations in order to regulate the inspection, quarantine, supervision and administration of entry-exit non-edible animal products, prevent animal infectious diseases, parasitic diseases and other pests from being introduced into or spread out of the frontier of China, and protect agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery production and human health.
