The 137th China Import and Export Fair (hereinafter referred to as the "Canton Fair") will be held in Guangzhou in three phases from April 15 to May 5. To ensure the smooth holding of the Canton Fair and carry out customs clearance supervision and service guarantee properly, Guangzhou Customs issued the Facilitation Measures of Guangzhou Customs for Supporting the 137th China Import and Export Fair 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the "Facilitation Measures") and the Instructions for Customs Clearance of Guangzhou Customs for the 137th China Import and Export Fair 2025 (hereinafter referred to as the "Instructions for Customs Clearance") on April 11.
The Facilitation Measures released this time proposed 12 specific measures from the aspects of service guarantee, policy support, and technological empowerment, including "one-stop service" of exhibition business, facilitating customs clearance for personnel and exhibits, "one-stop" customs procedures at the exhibition site, supporting enterprises to participate in exhibitions outside the zone, and implementing preferential tax policies for imported exhibits, so as to ensure smooth and efficient customs clearance of people and materials entering and leaving the Canton Fair.
"In the announcement released to the public this time, Guangzhou Customs comprehensively sorted out and evaluated the facilitation measures and effects of customs services in recent years to support the Canton Fair, and proposed 12 specific measures from the aspects of service guarantee, policy support, and technological empowerment, so that enterprises can understand the continuity and innovation points of relevant policies and accurately match the policy content with their own development needs. Moreover, the customs support enterprises to handle customs supervision and clearance procedures for exhibits and registration procedures for customs protection of intellectual property rights on site, to further enhance the "one-stop" service experience of enterprises and the service guarantee for the "going global" of the goods sold at the exhibition." Each phase of this Canton Fair will have an import exhibition of 10,000 square meters, and it is expected that more than 730 companies from 50 countries and regions will participate in the import exhibition.
"Judging from the current customs registration status, imported exhibits have entered the country during the first, second and third phases of this Canton Fair. As of April 11, 71 batches of Canton Fair exhibits with a value of about RMB 3.67 million have entered the country by sea and air from Guangzhou Nansha Port, Jiaoxin Wharf, Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and other ports. They mainly come from 13 countries and regions including Portugal, Egypt, Poland, Bangladesh, and Pakistan." Guangzhou Customs will set up a "Canton Fair Customs Information Desk" at the Canton Fair site to provide professional customs clearance business and technical trade measures response consulting services, to provide technical support for enterprises and commodities to "go overseas".
