In 2025, Ningbo Customs played a pivotal role in developing a hub for bulk commodity resource allocation. Key achievements included facilitating the construction of Asia’s largest underground bonded propane storage facility and pioneering a national pilot for bonded LNG bunkering under a “supply first, declare later” model. A single 5,700-ton biofuel bunkering operation set a new national record. These milestones collectively propelled the Ningbo-Zhoushan Port to become the world’s fourth-largest bunkering port and rank among China’s top three LNG bunkering ports.

The Customs introduced an innovative "1+3" customs-port cooperation mechanism, contributing to the Ningbo International Shipping Center's rise to 7th place in global rankings. It launched the country’s first "premium sea-rail intermodal express + China-Europe/Middle East express shipping" dual-mode logistics model. The "Yiwu-Ningbo Zhoushan Port" sea-rail intermodal route became China’s first to exceed one million TEUs in annual throughput, with its foreign trade container volume consistently leading the nation.

Additionally, Ningbo Customs successfully promoted a "1+14+N" network layout for cross-border e-commerce front warehouses. It facilitated the province's first cross-border e-commerce retail export return operation across customs zones and supported emerging models like "bonded warehouse + live streaming." To enable targeted industrial upgrading, it helped launch projects such as bonded maintenance for automotive transmissions and bonded R&D for automotive chips in the Ningbo Free Trade Zone.
