Description of content: This document specifies requirements for explosion-proof measures, maintenance and overhaul, and verification methods for dust removal systems dealing with combustible dust.

This document applies to the engineering and design, manufacture, installation, acceptance, use, and maintenance of combustible dust removal systems.

This document does not apply to dust removal systems used in mining, tunnels, underground coal mines, fireworks, civilian blasters, explosives and strong oxidizer production sites. It does not apply to air filters and household vacuum cleaners used in industrial ventilation, gas purification, dust removal and air conditioning.
