According to customs statistics, in 2025, the total value of agricultural trade between China and Central and Eastern European countries (hereinafter referred to as CEECs) was 14.13 billion yuan, representing a decrease of 2% compared with the same period of the previous year (hereinafter the same).
The main characteristics of agricultural trade between China and CEECs in 2025 are as follows:
(1) Primary exports included nicotine-containing products for manufacturing e-cigarette cartridges, edible aquatic products, dried and fresh fruits and nuts, and other items.
In 2025, China's exports of agricultural products to CEECs amounted to 11.17 billion yuan, an increase of 9.6%, accounting for 1.3% of the total exports to CEECs during the same period. Among these, nicotine-containing products for manufacturing e-cigarette cartridges were 2.1 billion yuan, declining by 13.1%; edible aquatic products totaled 1.26 billion yuan, increasing by 25%; dried and fresh fruits and nuts reached 970 million yuan, surging by 105.4%.
(2) Primary imports included dairy products, hops, and feathers and down for filling, among others.
In 2025, China's imports of agricultural products from CEECs reached 2.97 billion yuan, declining by 29.9%, accounting for 1.5% of the total imports from CEECs during the same period. Of this total, dairy products accounted for 820 million yuan, growing by 32.9%; hops comprised 250 million yuan, expanding by 84.7%; feathers and down for filling totaled 190 million yuan, declining by 61.5%.
(3) Poland, the Czech Republic, and Romania were the top three agricultural trading partners.
In 2025, China's imports and exports of agricultural products with Poland, the Czech Republic, and Romania registered 5.09 billion yuan, 1.66 billion yuan, and 1.44 billion yuan respectively, declining by 1%, increasing by 16.1%, and falling by 14.2% respectively, accounting for 36%, 11.7%, and 10.2% of China's total agricultural product imports and exports with CEECs during the same period respectively.
