Description of content: This standard applies to food additive Citric acid, which uses starch or sugar as raw materials, and is obtained through fermentation. It stipulates the technical requirements and test methods for Citric acid.

If no, describe, whenever possible, how and why it deviates from the international standard: In this standard, 5 indexes are added: Transmittance, Chloride, Calcium salt, Iron and total Arsenic, in order to ensure the quality of food additive citric acid product. The moisture content of Monohydrate Citric acid is revised to 7.5~9.0, which is in line with the actual situation of citric acid production enterprises in China.
