On July 1, the FTA between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Serbia officially came into force. On that day, Shenzhen Customs issued Shenzhen's first China-Serbia FTA certificate of origin for goods (mainly including motor parts, nonmetallic magnets, and copper terminals) exported by Huasheng Motor (Jiangmen) Co., Ltd.
According to reports, since the signing of the China-Senegal FTA on October 17, 2023, Shenzhen Customs has immediately commenced targeted research to thoroughly investigate the situation of export enterprises to Serbia within the customs district, and widely promoted policies through various channels, providing tailored policy guidance on a case-by-case basis.
At the same time, Shenzhen Customs has introduced facilitation measures such as promoting intelligent review of certificates of origin, self-service printing, and mailing services to realize "365×24" efficient handling of China-Serbia FTA certificates of origin without leaving home.
Statistics show that China-Senegal trade has been increasing steadily in recent years. In 2022, the bilateral trade volume between China and Senegal was USD 3.56 billion, up 10.1% year on year. In 2023, the bilateral trade volume reached USD 4.35 billion, up 23.7% year on year.
