On October 28, 2025, the 18th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress adopted the "Decision No. 5/4 of the 5th Meeting of the Conference of Parties to the Minamata Convention on Mercury" (hereinafter referred to as the "Amendment"). To implement the Amendment, on the basis of having fully implemented the "Announcement on the Entry into Force of the Minamata Convention on Mercury" (Ministry of Ecology and Environment Announcement No. 38 of 2017) and the "Announcement on the Release of Control Requirements for Eight Categories of Additive Mercury Products and Mercury Alloy for Dentistry" (Ministry of Ecology and Environment Announcement No. 21 of 2024), further strengthen the management of additive mercury products and mercury-using processes, the following matters are hereby announced.
