Description of content: The preparation covered by the Act was initially authorised by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1076/2014 for a 10-year period as a feed additive for cats and dogs, in the category of sensory additives and the functional group of flavouring compounds. An application was submitted for the renewal of the authorisation of this preparationin accordance with article 14 of Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003. The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) conducted a scientific assessment of the dossier submitted by the applicant, showing that the preparation does not satisfy the conditions for the renewal of the authorisation provided for in Article 5 of Regulation (EC) No 1831/2003. Consequently, the proposed Act denies the renewal of the authorisation and includes transitional periods for the interested parties to adjust to the denial of this preparation. |
