According to Customs statistics, the total bilateral trade volume between China and Central and Eastern European countries (hereinafter referred to as CEECs) was RMB78.89 billion in November 2021, up by 18.9% year on year (similarly hereinafter). Among them, exports to CEECs accounted for RMB60.53 billion, an increase of 27.5%; imports from CEECs reached RMB18.36 billion, a decrease of 2.6%.
From January to November 2021, the total bilateral trade volume between China and CEECs was RMB780.13 billion, an increase of 24.1%. Among them, exports to CEECs accounted for RMB578.32 billion, an increase of 25.4%; imports from CEECs reached RMB201.81 billion, an increase of 20.6%.
The main features are as follows:
1. Electro-mechanical and labor-intensive products dominated the exports.
In November 2021, the electrical-mechanical products exported to CEECs grew by 22.4% to RMB42.57 billion, accounting for 70.3% of the total exports to CEECs that mouth (similarly hereinafter) . Of these, automatic data processing equipment and parts thereof increased by 5.4% to RMB4.87 billion; electrical equipment were up by 23.5% to RMB4.19 billion In the same period, the export of labor-intensive products rose by 41.8% to RMB10.08 billion,,, accounting for 16.7% of the total exports . Of these, garments and clothing accessories were up by 73.4% to RMB2.94 billion; textile yarn, fabrics and articles thereof increased by 9.2% to RMB1.92 billion; medical materials and pharmaceutical shot up by 128.9% to RMB770 million, accounting for 1.3% . In addition, agricultural exports climbed by 8.5% to RMB520 million; exports of foodstuffs increased by 5.3% to RMB350 million.
2. Electromechanical products, copper, wood and wooden products were the main imported products.
In November 2021, electromechanical imported from CEECs declined by 12.3% to RMB12.65 billion ,making up 68.9% of of the total imports from CEECs in the same month(similarly hereinafter) . Of these, auto parts and accessories increased by 23.7% to RMB3.18 billion, ; passenger vehicles went down by 44.3% to RMB2.77 billion. During the same period, imports of unwrought copper and copper semis grew up by 82% to RMB1.27 billion, , accounting for 6.9% of the total imports ; imports of wood and wooden products increase by 1.5% to RMB660 million, accounting for 3.6% . In addition, imports of agricultural products climbed by 3.7%to RMB470 million, accounting for 2.5% ; food imports totaled RMB320 million, down 23.8%.
3. Poland, Czech and Hungary were the top three trading partners.
In November 2021, China's imports from and exports to Poland, Czech and Hungary were RMB24.39 billion, RMB12.02 billion and RMB9.18 billion , up 21.9%,down 6.1%, and up 24.8% respectively, accounting for 30.9%, 15.2% and 11.6% of the total volume of imports and exports to CEECs in that month.
