"To guarantee ample supplies for the cross-border e-commerce Spring Festival shopping season, we've already stocked more than two million items in our bonded warehouse," said Hu Xiaozhu, Cainiao Ningbo's customs affairs manager.
Recognizing the high demand from e-commerce businesses, Hangzhou Bay New Area Customs—under Ningbo Customs—stepped in quickly to address their needs. Officials offered immediate guidance on list declarations, account book filing, and local inspections, even working overtime to process bonded account book customs code changes. These measures have effectively lowered operating costs and bolstered business confidence.
"We anticipate receiving more than 760,000 consumer orders," said Hu Xiaozhu. "Alongside the ongoing surge in health supplements and beauty products, there's also been a noticeable uptick in gaming consoles, toys, and dolls compared to 2024."
Hangzhou Bay New Zone Customs has introduced a "bundled sales" import model, letting cross-border products under different tariff codes be freely combined. It supports record registration, list declarations, and 24-hour electronic customs clearance. This innovation caters to consumer demands for multi-item discounts, bundled purchases, and gift-giving options.
"Leveraging our 'smart customs' initiative, we are continuously upgrading our bonded zone management system to be more visual, digital, and intelligent," said Zhang Lei, director of the Comprehensive Business Department at Hangzhou Bay New Zone Customs.
