Nature of the urgent problem(s) and reason for urgent action: To date the pest has been found in a restricted area in Italy. Because of the polyphagous nature of the pest and the uncertainty of its worldwide distribution, urgent measures are taken to prevent the further introduction into and spread of this pest within the European Union. |
